No, there is no cost to activate your account, and no additional cost for delivery or pre-sorted medication packaging.

Delivery of prescription medication is always FREE in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.
In all other provinces, delivery of prescription medication is FREE for Maintenance (i.e. Ongoing) medications, but not for Acute (i.e. One-Time) medications.

For most urban and suburban locations, shipments arrive the next business day.
In remote locations, service may take longer.

Anyone with a prescription from a prescriber licensed to practice in Canada can use Pillway.
Faxed prescriptions must originate from the prescriber’s office.

If you have an insurance plan Pillway will arrange direct billing with your insurance provider if it is available.
In Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, we offer direct billing for provincial drug insurance plans as well as all major private insurance providers.
In other provinces, we currently offer direct billing for all major private insurance providers.

Prescription counselling is provided for all initial prescriptions and any follow-up questions. Experienced pharmacists are available for private and confidential consultation over the phone.

To speak with a pharmacist you can either:

Monday - Friday: 9:00 am -8:00 pm ET
Saturday: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm ET
2) Book an appointment online and a pharmacist will call you at a time that is convenient for you.
How do I transfer my existing prescriptions from my current pharmacy?
How do I transfer my existing prescriptions from my current pharmacy?
You can transfer your prescription by calling us directly at 1-833-PILLWAY (745-5929) or by sending a picture via the Pillway mobile app.
Once we receive your request we’ll handle the rest. Our pharmacist will contact your current pharmacy directly to transfer your prescriptions over to Pillway.
Moving forward you can have your doctor fax directly to Pillway.
Important Notes:

* Please note that while 6-month supplies of prescription medication are often possible, some insurance plans may not allow for a 6-month supply.
Ontario residents who are eligible for coverage under their provincial drug insurance plan can get up to a 6 month supply before they leave that they can take with them when travelling.
Alberta and British Columbia residents who are eligible for coverage under their provincial drug insurance plan and are travelling to the U.S. can get a 3 month supply before they leave and have another 3 month supply shipped to them in the U.S.
** Shipping to the U.S. is free for individuals who have completed at least 2 prescription medication renewal cycles with Pillway in Canada prior to having their medication shipped to the U.S.
Otherwise, there is a $50 fee for shipping to the U.S., which you will be reimbursed for if you complete at least 2 prescription medication renewal cycles with Pillway in Canada after you return from travelling.
*** Virtual doctor appointments are covered by provincial health plans in Alberta and British Columbia. You must be covered by one of these provinces' health plans to be eligible for free virtual doctor appointments. As of December 1, 2022, changes to Ontario's provincial health plan have limited coverage for virtual doctor appointments, which means this service may not be available to Ontario residents.
