St. Augustine & Ponte Vedra Beach – The ideal winter home for Canadian snowbirds!
Historic St. Augustine is the oldest city in the United States, founded in 1565 by the Spanish.
The city is known for its Spanish colonial architecture, lovely St. Augustine Beach and Crescent Beach, and has become increasingly popular among snowbirds in recent years.
Nearby Anastasia State Park is a protected wildlife sanctuary. Visitors can also explore the Castillo de San Marcos, a 17th-century Spanish stone fortress with views of the St. Augustine Inlet.
A short drive from St. Augustine you will find Ponte Vedra Beach, home of the famous TPC Sawgrass golf course. Both the PGA Tour and The Players Championship are played at TPC Sawgrass, with its iconic 17th-hole island green.
Ponte Vedra Beach itself boasts huge 40-foot sand dunes and white sand beaches. The area has lots of creeks and lagoons and there’s also great shopping and restaurants.
